Denira Borrero, Vice President of Operations at Omni Direct, Elected to the Electronic Retailing Association Board of Directors
Miami Beach, FLORIDA – August 30, 2010 – Omni Direct, Inc., a full service U.S. Hispanic direct response (DR) marketing company, today announced one of its Principals and Vice President of Operations, Denira Borrero, has been elected to the Electronic Retailing Association’s (ERA) Board of Directors for 2010-2013.
The ERA is the leading trade association for direct-to-consumer (D2C) commerce, and its Board of Directors serves as a cohesive voice for multi-channel marketers while simultaneously promoting government affairs initiatives and regulations designed to protect its members’ bottom-line.
With over 18 years of global marketing and commercial operations experience, Denira has led a number of successful global product launches using direct-to-consumer, traditional brand marketing, as well as business-to-business models. Prior to joining Omni, Denira led and managed a $300 million global business unit for Johnson & Johnson. She also spent several years in J&J’s Latin American division starting up a new business franchise and launching their first regional E-Commerce platform.
“The Electronic Retailing Association is thrilled to have an executive with the talent, experience and vision of Denira Borrero serving on its Board of Directors,” said ERA President and CEO Julie Coons. “Denira – and the entire Board – represent some of the keenest minds in direct-to-consumer commerce, and the association looks forward to their leadership and guidance as it works to advance its mission.”
“Denira is one of the most hard-working and dedicated individuals,” added Robin Greenspan, ERA’s Vice President of Membership. “She is an expert in the U.S. Hispanic market and always teaching us the newest trends. Her responsiveness and positive attitude make her a pleasure to work with, and she is always willing to give a helping hand in every area of the association. She is a true asset to the association and the Board. I look forward to continuing working with her.”
A member of the ERA, Denira also serves as Co-Chair of its Retail Council and its U.S. Hispanic Council. She is the second Hispanic woman ever to be elected to the ERA’s Board of Directors, and the first Board member elected to represent a U.S. Hispanic marketing company.
